  Went to get a small animal fort sons birthday, while staff was standing around talking at the front. When we went up to let them know which he wanted they all grumbled and cane up with reason why they couldn’t. Then as we were checking out the hamster bit him and he’s just 6 and never been bitten by anything so of course shocked him (yes I do know they can bite, like every animal). What got me was it got him good, gushing blood for a good 10 minutes after even, and they all just stared or just kind of laughed it off like “yeah they do that, that why you should gone with xxx”. My child his sobbing into his fathers shirt, bleeding, and they did make any attempt to even see if we needed a bandaid or tissue or anything. My husband used he shirt while I asked someone to get me a paper towel. He decided he no longer wanted a hamster because of how bad his finger her and I told them nevermind (hadn’t paid for it yet) and finished checking out. The look on their faces just angers me still and I wish I said something then. They had the audacity to roll their eyes because we inconvienced them by asking them to do their job. Cashier even “joked” that she was going to throw a pen at a customer who didn’t hear her when she said to not pick up the bird.
